Vancouver Island

VANCOUVER ISLAND is the largest island off the west coast of Canada and offers great summer activities, including surfing along the famous beaches of Tofino, and also winter skiing on Mount Washington. It is home to the provincial capital of Victoria which is found on the southern tip of the island. Victoria has a stunning Inner Harbour where whale watching, kayaking, scuba diving and other sports can all be enjoyed. Real estate prices are lower than in Vancouver which encourages many people to make the hour and a half ferry ride across from the mainland to take advantage of the beauty and opportunities of the Island for themselves.
